Located in Polynesia, Tonga is one of the countries that make up Oceania. Its capital is Nuku'alofa, and the country has coastal access rather than being landlocked. At around 747 km² in area, Tonga uses English as a major language and its currency is the Tongan paʻanga (T$). Tonga has no shared land borders on record, which typically means it's an island nation or a small enclave.
